Story of Laika
Dear Readers
Here I'm with a new blog for you and this time it's my dear Laika . Laika is my pet, whose gender is known but breed unknown .My known have their own opinion about her breed , maybe she is a Maltipoo or a Shih Tzu or some other mix breed .Whatever breed she belongs to, she's my darling.
I got her , I may say found her one year back when she was being rescued from the neighbouring street of my house.
She was being abandoned by some inhuman and inhumane personality and was left on the street for some unknown reasons. God is very kind that we found each other .People usually say that Laika is lucky that we picked her but I think we both are lucky .As a matter of fact, I would like to understand from the people who takes in pets but when they can't look after them well they leave them on the streets to die .Something I strongly believe that the world is full of good and bad ,and God has his ways.Laika found her way to our home.
Let me get back to Laika's tale , this adorable pie when brought home was depressed and she picked up one of the corners of my home where she used to sit for hours with moist eyes ,this went on for 15 days .My efforts to comfort her were going vain , I can very well understand her trauma. But I have to wait and watch, can't let her slip into depression .Yes, even dogs have depression .After having a dog for 15 days in my house ,my house was very quiet, no barking ,whimpering or growling.
Laika being my first pet, so can't give up on her ,I used to carry her in my arms for hours and talked to her and to my surprise after a few days I observed where ever I spoke to her there used to be a sound coming out from her deep throat .God knows what it was but this was the first sign that she has accepted us. Very obvious me and my husband 🙂 .A sense of relief came when she barked for the first time on what ..... we don't know .
Gradually she showed all the traits of dogs.....running after squirrels ,chasing crows ,barking on strangers entering our premises..shooing the street dogs ...hungry everytime whenever we sit for our meals ..licking ...running after ball you name it and she does all. Now a sign of relief that everything with Laika is back to normal .She has accepted us. And with coming of Laika a miracle happened ,my husband who wasn't pet friendly at all ,now showers all his love on Laika .
PS-Long live dear. You give all reasons to Smile .
Beautifully pen down . 👌👌👌
